All you have to do is select MacOS Calendar from the list of available integrations and authenticate your account to import meetings, projects and tasks into Memtime. From there, you can check your recorded activities, create time entries, and export them directly to MacOS Calendar. In case you’d like a step-by-step guide, you can find detailed instructions in our knowledge base article for this integration.
Memtime automatically syncs items from MacOS Calendar, like meetings or tasks, so they appear in Memtime after a short while. When it comes to data going the other way, only your time entries are synced. Your recorded activities (what you worked on) stay in Memtime and are never transferred. All syncing happens automatically at regular intervals, so there’s no need to manually refresh, recreate, or manage things in two places.
There’s no limit to the number of MacOS Calendars you can connect to Memtime. As long as you can authenticate each, you can add an unlimited number of personal, work, and even shared calendars to see your scheduled events in Memtime.
Yes, you can mirror events from your shared calendars the same way you pull events from your regular MacOS Calendars. You’ll see your appointments and notes in Memtime next to automatically captured activities.
Memtime is a desktop app that captures computer activities, e.g. your time in programs, files, documents, browser tabs, etc. However, it can also capture your offline times, i.e. the time you’re away from your computer. Thanks to the integration with MacOS Calendar, you can see your times of absence next to your calendar appointments. Rename offline times and log them as time entries if you need to track time spent in in-person meetings and other offline events.
While you can manage the same MacOS Calendar on multiple devices, Memtime keeps your automatically captured activities offline on a single device. E.g. If you use Memtime on your work PC with your calendar connected, you can create calendar events on any device you use with this MacOS account but you’ll only see the actual duration of your calendar events on the device where Memtime is installed. This is how we protect your privacy – by keeping all recorded activity data offline.
Projects, tasks and meetings are displayed in Memtime using the same structure you already have in your MacOS Calendar. Memtime simply brings in your existing setup, so you can assign your time in a way that matches your already organized work - without the need to rebuild anything.
Yes. You are fully in control of what gets submitted - only the final time entries you made are synced, not your private activity data.
You can connect any calendar app you're using, e.g. Google Calendar, Microsoft Calendar, iCloud Calendar etc. Memtime will import your calendar events and display them side by side with your automatically recorded activities.
When you connect your MacOS Calendar to Memtime, your events remain private to you. Nobody else can see your scheduled appointments.
