How does ZEP integration work?

You only need to select ZEP from the list of available integrations and authenticate your account to import projects and tasks into Memtime. From there, you can check automatically recorded activities, create time entries, and export them directly to ZEP. How are projects and tasks from ZEP shown in Memtime?

Projects, tasks, issues, or similar items are displayed in Memtime using the same structure you have in ZEP. Memtime simply brings in your existing setup, so you can assign your time in a way that matches your already organized work - no need to rebuild anything.

Is Memtime self-hosted?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Memtime is a desktop app you install on your computer locally. It’s compatible with devices running Windows, macOS, and Linux. Once you’ve installed Memtime on your computer, it will follow your mouse and keyboard to catch any program running in the foreground and track your time in it. This data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to the cloud unless you decide to export it.

Can I go back to any day in the past?

Yes, from the moment you’ve installed Memtime it keeps a minute by minute log of your time in all programs. Every moment you’re active on your computer is recorded (as well as every moment you’re offline will be displayed as times of inactivity). Because this data is stored locally on your computer, you can go back to any day since you started using Memtime. Unless you format your device, you can see any day in the past.

Do I need to transfer any data from ZEP?

After you’ve authenticated ZEP as your connected app in Memtime, you can import your projects, tasks, and activities. You can do this manually or automatically by enabling auto-sync. Meanwhile, the time entries you create in Memtime and assign to ZEP projects can be automatically exported to ZEP so you don’t need to transfer anything manually.

What if I multitask?

Memtime is very smart in determining which program you’re interacting with. Even if you jump from one tab to another and switch between programs throughout the day, Memtime will always catch the program in the foreground and track your time in it.
